Dry Brushing
This is my first video! So, bear with me as I am still learning and don't want to plunk down a big chunk of money for audio/ visual equipment just yet.
I am demonstrating, quickly and fully-clothed (Ha!) the benefits and technique for dry brushing. Best done right before a shower or bath on completely dry skin. So, not immediately after working out.
A brush with natural fibers is the gold standard and not terribly expensive at $10-20.
Begin at your feet and brush upwards, a brush with a handle might suit you better for this area. Brush towards the center of your body, 3-5 strokes. When you finish long straight strokes on the front of your legs and buttocks, use a circular motion clockwise on your abdomen then armpits. Next start at your hands and brush your arms towards your shoulders. Under the chin and around your throat will be downward strokes. Do your back last starting at the top of your buttocks brushing towards your neck.
Remember to use light pressure; your skin should not be red or feel raw after brushing. Light pink is all you should see. Take a shower or bath to wash off all the remaining dead skin cells on your body.
Disclaimer: Dry brushing is not meant to be considered medical treatment.
